"Paris, 19th century. The city sleeps but we see two men sitting by the harbor. They're our main characters Rimbaud and Verlaine, both are very bored and depressed and decide to go on a quest for excitement. Rimbaud convinces Verlaine to steal a boat and sail the wild waters. Once underway and at sea they consume large amounts of absinthe... then a thick fog comes up and they get lost. In the end they strand on an island, an island with a big city... both consume loads of alcohol, drugs and sex, but soon this paradise turns against them. Rimbaud turns out to be capable of the most disgusting things and Verlaine finds out he will do anything for Rimbaud..."
