set up the Office for Design in London in 1986 after an education in furniture design at Kingston Polytechnic and the Royal College of Art. Now Morrison divides his time between a studio in Paris and London. Since the late eighties and to the present day Morrison has produced refined objects for everyday life, his original, intellectual approach to desing earning him many accolades.The application of which has won him commissions for thams, tableware, electrical goods, door furniture, furniture and crockery. Morrison has always been interested in the influence objects have on everyday atmosphere and cites the early Modernists as his first inspiration to design. His catalogue of work is diverse and yet one of the strongest in form and purpose of all contemporary designers.

is a supremely multi-functional product. This small open box is perfect height to be used as a bedside table, stool, sofa table, floor or shelf storage. It can be adapted to multiple uses around the home - it is flexible, mobile and effortless. This iconic product was inspired by the form of an abandoned packaging crate. The production design is constructed from Douglas Fir. In an attempt to pay homage to the original found object, Jasper Morrison has recreated The Crate to the exact scale of the original and has retained original details. A slit in the back of the box is romantically preserved as in the integral design detail. Dimensions: L 375 mm x D 175 mm x H 500 mm. Materials: Douglas Fir.
