met whilst studying together at London's Royal College of Art. Together they formed their design studio, "BarberOsgerby" in 1996. The company grew quickly, winning key commissions and earning this dynamic duo much acclaim for their refreshing design aesthetic. A long standing relationship with Giulio Cappellini has followed an early patronisation from the prolific manufacturer and the loop table, one of the studio's earliest design has now reached iconic status. In recent years Edward and Jay have been developing collections of distinctive designs for leading international manufactures and clients such as Magis, Authentics, Venini and Isokon. is an exercise in restrained form. Constructed from an apparently seamless ribbon of moulded polyester with a high gloss finish, the table appears to hover slightly above the ground. A glass top is barely visible, giving the impression that objects placed upon it are unsupported. A dual wall construction provides another visual illusion, looking into the table its sides seem to converge at a greater pitch than expected. The Zero-In's simple form at first belies the complex and contradictory elements of this design that further engage the viewer.
