In fact, Taylor is the newly announced winner of the ELLE Deco design ward for the series of Fold Lamps produced by Established & Sons. After studying Furniture and Product Design at Notthingham Trent University, Alexander started his career working with Proctel-Rihl before establishing his own design studio in 2002. Milan 2004 saw Taylor launch onto an international platform with products designed for London manufacturer Thorsten Van Elten and a commission for Aqua di Parma. 2004 was a pivotal year for Taylor as his 'Antlers' coat hook won the ELLE Deco Home Accessory of the Year Award and a collection of new work was put into production with Japanese manufactures E&Y.

The design derives its name from its construction process: an aluminium sheet is subjected to multiple folding in order to create the traditional motif of the product.
