Nadia Micault is a 28-year-old graphic designer, painter, illustrator, web designer and animated movie director, based in Paris, France. Though she began her solo career as an illustrator, she quickly moved into different media in order to expand her artistic horizons. Her main interest lies in contributing illustrations to the fashion world as well as album covers, video clips, and websites to the music world. Currently, her work involves melting illustrated forms into still images (fashion shots, portraits) and video sequences. Her first music video
Oblivion for Icube was selected in film festivals accross Europe. She recently released her second m video:
Amour Made in Taiwan for Sir Alice, electronic artist, the video is based entirely on the melding illustration/real pictures process. The short film "Naiad", which won the ARTE price at the
Annecy Animated film festival international project contest, was also based on this process. On "Naiad" she animated
Lorenso Nanni's home made character in a forest fantasy world. Her illustration work reminds her fascination for classic paintings but also for contemporary quick drawings. Miss Micault wants to mix spontaneous and lively drawing with more mature colors and compositions, finding a dynamic equilibrium between those two ideas. She usually works in the fashion scene as well as magazines and advertising.
