Lucy and Bart is a collaboration between Lucy McRae and Bart Hess described as an instinctual stalking of fashion, architecture, performance and the body. They share a fascination with genetic manipulation and beauty expression and unconsciously their work touches upon these themes. They work in a primitive and limitless way that does not rely on fashion, but on instinct. They start with a single material, exploring volumes on the body and ways of re-shaping the human silhouette, creating low–tech prosthetic alternatives for human enhancement.
