"I currently live in Philladelphia but I've also lived in rural South Carolina, Detroit, Tallahassee, NYC, Brooklyn, and Hiroshima. I travel a lot too, so there's that whole thing. My friend in the art world told me I dont qualify as a folk artist cause I sold paintings on the street in Japan, but I think that just gives me modern folk art cred. I decided when I was like 17 that I should go ahead and dedicate my life to bein the best damn painter ever. I think I'm pretty far from that goal still. Pretty much everything in my life revolves around making good arts though. I live in crappy places, have crappy relationships, get too drunk and ruin things, travel the world, cry on rooftops, make out in dumpsters, all for a better understanding of life and the human experience. I've only worked at a job like 3 months out of the last 4 years. I've made 1400 odd paintins, trading them for food and a place to stay while on the road. I hope to one day have some of my art in every decent person's house in America. I know its unrealistic, but isn't that what we are supposed to be trying to do?" (BoringBot)
