Arte Fiera is a unique event where visitors can explore the latest trends in the world of modern and contemporary art through the proposals of more than 200 leading international galleries. Galleries from all over the world are selected by the International Committee and provide a preview of the most innovative trends alongside the works of the leading Italian artists, who are also prominent figures at a world level. Most importantly, it is a meeting point between Italian and international art, a role that lends much to its appeal and makes it of great interest to collectors.
One of the key concepts behind the fair is research, all aspects of analysis of new trends and new markets, giving collectors and art enthusiasts a global picture of international artistic research. No Knock Room selected some of the most interesting artworks and spaces, starting with the Parisian Magda Danysz. The gallery presented one of the hottest booths, the walls were entirely dedicated to the new works by the street art celeb, Shepard Fairey a.k.a Obey. The Obey Campaign can be explained as an experiment in Phenomenology, highly influenced by Marshall Mcluhan's theories.

Cruising in an art fair with over 200 galleries is like being in an endless amusement park, after a few hours everything seems quite ordinary, although we selected some of the coolest stuff: the foamy shapes mediterrean-inspired by Marcello Cinque, Gehard Demetz's wooden children, Zabe Lewis's installation of the pope dripping off his mouth, a giant cloud made of silk and bamboo by Jacob Hashimoto, the new "fragmented" paintings by Robert Gligorov, the 'holy pop' collage about the life and stories of Saint Francis by Andrea Mastrovito...

Cartoonish muses, tatooed naked bodies, skinny girl nudes, gigantic hangbags, stuffed animals, sex and riot in public spaces... Arte Fiera Bologna every year gives us a detailed picture of the artistic phenomena inside and outside Italy (this year 35% of the galleries were from abroad), a clear scenario of what's happening in pop culture. No knock room is proud to share with you a little piece of the Italian art scene, opening up to an year with the most prestigious art events as the 52nd Biennale di Venezia and Documenta 12.
